Improving Digital Access
Posted or Updated on 23 Oct 2025
October 2025 – update:
Look out for communication from us.
- Dedicated Arabic and Cantonese NHS App sessions coming soon!
- We will be running group education sessions for selected cohorts of patients in languages other than English to help pockets of our community access digital health services. Do you have a language in mind that you’d like us to run – get in touch!
Some of our older patients rely on family members to help them with their health care – we are in the process of contacting carers to help them manage their loved ones health records digitally – to make things easier and more transparent.
We’ve started the process of signing up to become a digital data bank hub – keep checking here for further updates.
We are starting a project to help improve digital access to all of our patients. We acknowledge that digital is not for everyone however we also know that there are patients out there who would love to be able to use digital services but don't feel confident in doing so at the moment. In order to combat this we are employing a digital champion who will be available to help patients who want to access things digitally or learn how to use these services better. This would include things like being able to book an appointment when the surgery is closed or being able to view test results without having to ring the surgery to find out.
We know that patients don't always want to do this and therefore we are committed to providing non digital routes to healthcare and patient choice will always remain number 1 in these instances.
We are also aware that there are groups of patients who are most affected by being digitally excluded; this includes patients aged over 65 and patients for whom English is not their first language.
We know that there is a digital poverty element when patients do not always have the right amount of data to be able to use these services freely. We will be providing information going forward on help that is available out there for these scenarios.

Please note you may need to be able to prove who you are (with photo ID) when downloading the app; this can be done online or we as a practice team are here to assist.
