Humans MCR

Emergency Food Parcels delivery service and a Community Grocers delivery service.

Referrals are done online so a client just needs to ask their referral agent to email us on

info@humansmcr.org and we will send the agent the secure referral form.

It’s important to point out that they are a delivery service across service across all Manchester City Council Wards, Bury, Salford.

Clients can access the service once every two weeks - new referral needed for each delivery.

Beacon Centre Community Grocer

Membership only scheme

Applicants must live in Beswick, Clayton or Openshaw and be referred by one of our approved local referral partners (list available on request.) Application process is informal and friendly.

Members are entitled to 1 weekly visit for 6 months.

Pleasant, shop style arrangement with good choice of fresh produce, chilled, frozen and cupboard items, plus bread products and toiletries.

Members receive food up to the value of £30 for £5 per visit, plus additional free items when available, and a complimentary cup of tea or coffee.

Discreet sanitary packs available on the first Friday of each month, subject to availability.

Support is available via local service providers, to address issues which have led to the need for assistance.

They supply emergency dry food bags and hot meals.

Clients can self-refer, or organisations can refer on behalf of clients. We prefer collection and in limited cases we will deliver.

This service is for emergencies, not long-term support.

Our food provision is free.

The only qualifying condition is that people live within a twenty min walk of the SS . It’s £5 per shop and folk choose food that has an estimated value of £40 so a massive saving.

We have culturally appropriate food too.

We have clothing, shoes bedding, furniture, electrical items on request for a small donation. We can support fuel costs in a crisis too. We are a warm hub too so people can stay warm and have a hot drink and snacks.

Wonderfully made woman food bank

Unit 80 Cariocca business park 2 Sawley Road Miles Platting.

They run a foodbank in Greater Manchester to support BAME families with culturally appropriate food.

They only provide food support seasonally, such as during half term or summer to the women they support and other people on referral basis, or if they have funding to support some families due to the high cost of Living, we do that as well.

All dependant on funding for these supports.

A delivery service available for anyone mobility impaired or unable to leave the house.
